I had a wonderful stay at The Johnson, mostly due to the modern, spacious room and excellent location. The pool area was a highlight, though the dining options nearby were quite limited on a Sunday night. I was pleased to find the staff helpful, and the late check-out offer was a fantastic bonus that allowed me to extend my stay.

Situated on a hill, the hotel has a great location that's quiet but still within walking distance to the city. However, the limited restaurant options nearby on Sunday nights was a bit disappointing.

The pool area was beautiful and offered a nice place to relax; however, it would have been nicer if it were heated for more comfort.

I had a great stay at The Johnson, enjoying the lovely views from my one-bedroom suite and the friendly, attentive staff. The hotel's cleanliness and well-appointed facilities, especially the pool area, were impressive. However, some aspects like the noise from nearby rooms could be concerning for light sleepers.

My stay at The Johnson Brisbane was quite enjoyable with some minor drawbacks. The room was spacious and clean, complete with a lovely balcony and excellent facilities. However, there were some hiccups during check-in and parking that could have been managed better. Overall, it remains my preferred choice when visiting Spring Hill.

Rooms

The Deluxe Studio was fabulous with beautiful soft furnishings, a huge bathroom, and a great view over Spring Hill rooftops. I loved the balcony for a nice evening unwind.

The staff were mostly friendly and genuinely eager to help. However, my check-in experience was dampened by some initial misunderstandings.

Situated in a very quiet area, the hotel offered close proximity to central Brisbane and made it easy to explore the inner city suburbs. The serene environment was a breath of fresh air.
Dining

While the hotel didn't have a restaurant, there are plenty of nearby dining options. I particularly enjoyed grabbing a Neapolitan pizza from a local spot.

I had a pleasant stay at The Johnson Brisbane, with its spacious, clean rooms and friendly staff being the highlights. The location is quiet yet conveniently close to attractions like St Andrew's Hospital. However, I did encounter minor issues like the parking process and some amenities not being fully functional, which could be improved.

Rooms

My room was modern, spacious, and incredibly quiet. I loved the large bathroom with good water pressure. However, I had issues with the TV and was allocated a less-than-ideal bathroom setup.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, even going out of their way to assist when needed. They immediately addressed an oversight with the milk in my room, which I appreciated.
Location

The hotel is situated in a quiet area on a hill, making it a peaceful retreat while still being within walking distance to the CBD and local cafes. However, the steep walks to downtown can be a bit challenging.
Dining

While I didn't dine at the hotel's restaurant, I noticed there were nice dining options just across the road, contributing to the overall convenient experience.

The hotel features a pool and gym, which looked appealing, although I didn’t use them. The laundry facilities and kitchenette in my room were quite handy for my stay.

My stay at The Johnson Brisbane was a mixed bag. On one hand, the art-themed design and friendly staff created a welcoming atmosphere. On the other hand, I encountered a few hiccups with service and check-in procedures, which left me feeling frustrated at times. Overall, I appreciated the modern rooms and convenient location, though there are areas needing improvement.

Rooms
8.0
My deluxe studio room was clean and spacious, featuring a kitchenette which I found very helpful. However, I did notice some awkwardness in the bathroom layout, making it a bit cramped to use comfortably. The lack of a luggage rack was a minor inconvenience too.
Service
6.0
The service could definitely use some polishing. While I experienced friendly staff, the front of house seemed overwhelmed and lacked communication, especially during check-in. I had trouble with parking information and felt the staff could be more attentive to the guests' needs.
Location
9.0
The location was indeed convenient, being close to the city center and easily accessible from public transportation. It was quietly positioned on a hill, providing a nice balance of tranquility along with proximity to Brisbane's main attractions.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed drinks at the restaurant, but didn't eat there. The breakfast options were good quality, though retrieving my meal vouchers was a bit of a hassle during check-in. I think a separate menu for hotel guests could enhance the experience.
Facilities
8.0
I appreciated the pool area, which looked inviting even if the water was too cold for my taste. The gym was well-presented, and having the option for a kitchen and grill near the pool was a nice touch for those wanting to socialize or host gatherings.
